Check voltage of AC adapter with voltmeter and make sure voltage matchs the output noted on the adapter and the bottom of the laptop.
Make sure the voltage is steady and not jumping all over. If you have another adapter with the same output voltage and AMPs equal to or greater than the required AMPs, try that. This will rule out the adapter if you still have the same problem.

Have you Checked the power Supply? it sounds like the power supplyhas gone bad.

It seems to me that the problem might be a driver issue. Try to restart it, if the problem remains, go to control panel, disable the driver, reboot again and return to control panel and enable the driver again. That might work.
