RAZR V3 is sending my text messages as SMS messages

Some friends are telling me that they're receiving my text messages as MMS picture files. How do I fix this?

This happens by default on some motorola phones if someone sends you an MMS. My suggestion would be to go into your text message preferences and start looking for that "Send message as.." option. There's a user manual on this site, maybe that will help.

Hi dude,
I m sorry. U lack knowledge regarding about SMS/MMS.
SMS=short messaging. It is only for text messages.
Similarly, MMS=multimedia messaging. It is for sending text with animations or photos, video clips, etc.
U need to have MMS connection in ur mobile to send text with animations.

MMS messaging?

This may be the problem...
Go to messages,
press menu ( - )
go to message setup,
then MMS message setup,
then go on composing MMS,
change the reply type to short reply

Help!

Your phone ran out of memory and the only way the messages could be sent or received is through mms on the phone. You need to clear out the in and out box often so the phone will not do this. Also you must reboot the phone after you have cleared out the in and out box. Then it should work.

Text Messages send as multimedia messages, and don't go through

go into message center then press the menu button, scroll to message setup n then press select. scroll to reply type n be sure it says 'sms' if not change it to sms.

MMS is default for messages

I had this problem develop for my Razr V3xx, but after emptying out all my messages in my inbox, outbox, and drafts, it returned to a normal text message format. Hope it works for you as well.

most likely you need to check with your carrier due to when your friend sends you a ringtone it will go through the phone as a multimedia message (MMS) so for those to work you need 2 things first 1 text messages must work 2 must be able to access net if able to do both of those things then you need to contact service provider to make sure that your MMS is on.
