Question about Pioneer PRO-510HD 53" Rear Projection Television

2 Answers

Pioneer PRO-510HD Elite

I have this projection TV for 6 years now. In the last few weeks after starting the tv the picture goes black (Sound continues to work). Switching to different input sources does not make any difference so I believe the problem is with TV. If I turn it off and back on some times it will work otherwise it goes black after a while. Any suggestions on what to look or replace? Thanks, Robert

Since your tv is 6yrs old it could be that the video circuit has cold solder that needs to be resolder if that does not work then a focus on the video circuit by replacing the component there, it could be an ic or transistors or diode.if you are not a tech get one to look at your set.good luck.for further help email me at [email protected]

How did you pay to have him resolder the power supply board. Last year we spent...

You may need the power supply board resoldered as I had the same problem. The guy listed below can do it for you as I shipped mine from Illinois to him in California... Piece of cake getting the board out of the back and it's not too fraigile... Just pack in bubble wrap and it will be fine. My TV is now working great.

BUT DON'T DELAY AS SOONER LATER TV WILL NOT RESTART..

Pioneer elite tv turns off from a pop sound and manual says-will

It is most likely the power supply. Do not try to fix this yourself. There are LETHAL voltages inside such a TV, which can persist for WEEKS after it has been turned off.

TV goes blank - no sound or picture

Sounds like a bad capacitor or two in the power section. Do you hear a hissing sound also?

Pioneer Elite Pro 620 HD TV on several occasions the screen has gone black but sound continues and the power green libht remains on. After shutting down for 10-15 minutes picture comes back.

Pioneer Elite Pro rear projection 620HD - Picture is still there but brightness and "white" have faded over years allowing for mediocre viewing when room is dark only. During the daylight picture is visible if viewed straight on and within 15 feet from set. Any suggestions?

PRO 510HD PROBLEMS

if you know anything about the tv, take off the back and remove the power supply board. Reflow or resolder the solder points, takes like 2 hours, but is well worth it as my tv works fine now. make sure to use rosin core solder and good luck

Loose Sound and Picture very now and then, but TV stays ON

Check out www.manualsparadise.com There are service manuals available for download. They start at $7.95. That might point you in the right direction.
