SOURCE: timing, jams or prints off bottom of page

Hi hotpress:
Try these steps.
Print transfer jams
1.
If a piece of paper is trapped in the paper preheater, try pushing out the paper by
inserting a stiff piece of cardstock into the paper preheater.
2. Using diagnostics, test the paper preheater sensors. If the test fails, replace the
paper/drum heater assembly.
3. Check to see if the upper feed roller drive belt is broken or slipped off of its pulleys. In
such a case, the upper feed roller does not rotate when the lower feed roller rotates.
4. Check that the feed rollers rotate smoothly and that the front cover is fully closed and
seated.
5. Check the paper-eject path for obstructions. Ensure no small pieces of paper are
trapped around the stripper fingers or rapid release guide.
6. Ensure that the transfix roller rotates during the transfix process. See SF168 and
SB467.
7. Test the sensors in the paper path. Look for damaged or non-operating sensor flags.
8. Check the transfix solenoid and its cam. Ensure they operate correctly and are properly
lubricated. If lubrication is needed, apply a dab of grease to the contact point between
the cam and the latch and the cam and the cam-advanced spring. Refer to
"Lubrication" on page 6-177.
9. A stripper finger, or rapid release guide, jam can occur because of broken teeth on the
small section of the back-side of the compound gear. The root cause of this may be also
be due to a lack of transfix cam grease. If you find broken teeth on the compound gear,
check for proper lubrication of the transfix cam. Be careful to ensure that no grease
touches the Y-axis belts. If the belts get contaminated with grease they must be
replaced. wipe off any excess grease to prevent it from dripping onto the belts.

Hope this helps

The black toner may be packed into the cartridge. Take it out, beat it around a little to knock it loose, and reinstall it. It's possible that the supply auger in the cartridge is broken, causing inconsistent supply of toner to print engine. If beating it around doesn't bring you satisfaction, try to get it replaced by the vendor. If it's genuine Xerox, that shouldn't be too much trouble.

This problem is common when heavyweight paper is fed from the tray long edge first. and then the fuser exit sensor did not actuate within the specified time. Clean the drawer from dust or oil. if this not solve the problem change the fuser exit sensor

U6-4 sounds like an NVRAM error and could be a bad board.

I think they probably be the Main System Controller Board 160K58571 or the Engine Controller/MCU 160K60530

SOURCE: Xerox docu color 252 error

Hi

Error code 045-326 in your Xerox Docu color 252 means belt home position too long. To solve this first try NVM reset:

1. Hold down 0 (zero) key for 10 seconds and then press the START Button.

2. Then Enter 6789...confirm

3. Press Log in/Log out Button or the Key Button

4. Press System Settings, common settings, Maintenance, NVM Read/Write

5. Enter NVM 741-105 and change it to Zero (0)

After this if the error returns then check that the Transfer belt is in center...this belt is located beneath the drum cartridge. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

I have xerox dc 250 machine, it shows fault code 077-909, paper jam at tranfer module but i checked there is no paper in it??

Hello friend, you are not alone !!!!
From http://www.copytechnet.com/forums/xerox/28764-dc-250-fuser-problem-077-909-a.html

At the bottom of the page it says.......

'what sometimes happens is that the sensor flag/arm call it what you will, twists out of its holder and jams, hence the machine thinks that there is still paper. the flag/arm should pivot freely'

Jam at exit open door a

Could be a fuser problem, but could also be very poor quality toner cartridge(s). If a remanufacturer/compatible maker uses the wrong toner powder, it can have the wrong characteristics.

I've seen these printers with poor quality cartridges able to print a page with very little toner coverage OK, but jam EVERY page that has much real 'density' of toner. Even the configuration page on these printers has a solid band of red 5mm or so wide across the lower part of the page. Poor toners - where the fusing temperature is incorrect for this printer will cause the page to jam in the same place in the fuser EVERY TIME.

The cure - Genuine Xerox toners, or GOOD QUALITY remanufactured toners from a reputable source.
