It comes up with black screen saying sorry windows didnt open and it lets me pick safe mode or start normal and i tryed both and still nothing how do i restore with out the dvd
I had this problem too and it turns out it was the secondary battery. When I took that out and replaced it with the DVD drive, Windows 7 came back good as new. I have a Fujitsu T5010, BTW. So the takeaway from this is that I had a faulty battery.
Just had this problem myself. Go into your BIOS. make sure AHCI is disabled and Virtualization Technology is enabled. Then restart. This fixed it for me. Hope it does it for you.

right click on the desktop and click properties. a window will pop up and from then you turn down the reseloution in the settings tab. set it to a setting where you feel comfortable. then select apply to view it once you have it at the setting you want select ok

try a universal charger/power cord to see if that is the problem.
if not you can always return it.
only other option is the battery.
this has been the case with a laptop I used to have. turned out vista was the real problem though. (LOL... Crying...I HATE vista)

Hi,
Good day! What password are you refering to? Is it the one used for logging into the unit itself?
You can try the work around below.
- You can try to restore the unit back to it's factory settings if you don't have any important files in the hard drive.

Meir
