Sounds like the configuration on the router isn't set up properly. - Make sure that you DHCP server is on. - Make sure that uPnP is enabled. - If your having connectivity issues (keeps disconnecting) maybe you should choose to put your MTU to 1460 rather than the default 1500 - Try to ping the address that your laptop is connected to from the router (is there is a error, it's a configuration problem) - Maybe you need to edit the NAT and port forward your http ports For more help on port forwarding, I suggest going to www.portforward.com and choosing your router...They have a step by step process there to help you out.

How to reset netgear wgr614 to factory default

You can reset your Netgear router to the factory settings from within the router manager. The reset procedure removes all user-configured settings and returns the router to the original factory settings. For this reason, only reset the router if you encounter problems that can't be solved with other methods.

Step 1: Check that your Netgear router is properly connected with your system or not. If it is OK, then press reset button on Netgear router for at least 10 seconds. The 'test' light should flash during this process.

Step 2: Now open browser and enter Netgear's IP address into the address bar. Generally, '192.168.0.1' is the Netgear router IP address but you can find specific IP address in Netgear router manual.

Step 3: Now enter your default username and password to log in to router.

Step 4: Click 'Erase' button under the 'Revert to Factory Default Settings'. This process will erase all your previous changes that have been made to the router and restore the configuration settings to factory setting. Don't interrupt the process until the process is finished.

Once the router's 'test' light has stopped blinking and the configuration page you are on has refreshed, the router has been reset.

Forgot my password and can't log on with another pc

Unfortunately, there is no way to recover a lost or forgotten password from a router or access point; you will need to reset the device to factory defaults. However, once the device is reset to factory defaults, you can use the default username ("admin") and password (either "password" or "1234" depending on your router) to reconfigure your router settings. if there is a small hole in the front or back of the router push a hair pin in to reset to factory settings Hope this helps don't forget to vote

I dont know the pass code...?

the simplest way is by restoring the default configuration and then reconfigure the passcode.

You can erase the
current configuration and restore factory defaults in two ways:

• Use the Erase function of the router (see “Erasing the Configuration” on page 6-7).
• Use the Default Reset button on the rear panel of the router. Use this method for cases when
the administration password or IP address is not known.

To restore the factory default configuration settings without knowing the administration password

or IP address, you must use the Default Reset button on the rear panel of the router.
1. Press and hold the Default Reset button until the power light blinks on (about 10 seconds).
2. Release the Default Reset button and wait for the router to reboot.
If the wireless router fails to restart or the power light continues to blink or turns solid amber,
the unit may be defective. If the error persists, you might have a hardware problem and should
contact technical support.

I have a Netgear wgr614 54mbps wireless router. How do we clear or reset the password or security code? We are triing to set up a wireless blue ray with net flix LG dvd. The blue ray does not recognize...

The netgears usually have a little tiny button in the back of the router where all the wires plug in. You will need a paper clip or needle to push it. Just press the button for 5-10 seconds and it will restore the defaults.
You can then log into your router's firmware by going to:
www.routerlogin.net or http://192.168.1.1 you will need to setup a wireless name and password.
Let me know if you have any other problems.

How do i get the password

Type http://www.routerlogin.net in the address field of Internet Explorer.
When prompted, enter admin for the router user name and password for the router password,
both in lower case letters.
If it does not log you in, then there is a different user name and password on the router.
To reset that, you can restore these defaults with the Factory Default Restore button on the rear panel. Hold the button down for 15 secs then release. Wait 1 minute, then try log in to the router using http://www.routerlogin.net in your browser and don't forget to set a password. Hope that helps.
