Heard a loud pop a couple months backa nd tv turned off then afterwards tv would turn off and light would blink. I would have to unplug tv and plug it back in to get it back on. Now I get no picture just sound when tv is on
I agree with Leadtech on this. either a regualtor blew out or the flyback (HV transformer). Alot of high voltage problems are difficult to troubleshoot without looking at unit.

Re:
Sounds like the video output has a problem. Maybe missing the 200 volts from the High voltage transformer.
The vertical circuit may have an issue.
Either way it's hard to diagnose without looking at it.

I have the same issue, we've had to change our bulb three times in less than two years. now we have 61" expensive paper weight. Our current bulb is less than 6 months old. The TV is only 2 years old and like i said this is our third bulb.
the blue light blinks 4 times. you get sound. then a few minutes the the picture returns... then it goes out, and the cycle goes on.
3 times blink shows lamp cover is removed or not installed properly on TV. Please take out lamp inside TV and check, seems its broken as you heard loud pop. Thanks.
my first question is have you checked the bulb. the loud pop sound like the bulb blew and the rattling sounds like the lamos trying to fire. remove the bulb cover and unscrew the bulb
The problem can be caused by a bad sustain board (Ysus Zsus) , the popping sound is often caused by a capacitor blowing up. The TV must be taken apart and tested before eventually replacing sustain boards.
#1 When I turn on the TV the power button comes on then blinks 6 times then goes off for a few seconds then repeats the cycle. I have sound over my surround system during this time but no picture.
#2 My sound would crackle and pop every once and a while until now it does nothing. I have to watch it with the surround sound on.
