Was the telvision impacted? Usually a Blue line on various tv sets such as Sharp and Sony can also indicate a firmware upgrade being needed. Try that first, as to a panel if this is a panel we have in stock cost could be between $200-400 for the part that part cost from Sony coulb be double if you need to purchase new. No picture problem on Philips Flat TV 37PF5321 37 in HDTV-Ready Telvision

I am suffering from the same problem. When I turn on I get sound but no picture, although I do get the backlight coming on when I turn it on, I then get about 1/2 a second of picture then nothing. Even if I select TV specific functions such as the menu, I get no menu screen come up.
Any ideas out there?

When I switch the tv on using the remote control the tv starts "clicking" and it takes a couple of minutes before the picture comes on

Your telvision requires 1 capacitor and some resoldering on the power supply board . part number for the whole board is BN96-01801A

Really Did not find a solution because we already know the problem. i.e the mani/digital board. BenQ will not sell us the part. We are still looking for a supplier.
