Scanning to file

Suddenly, I can no longer scan from my Lexmark X5150 to a file. Did I, by accident, turn a switch off? If so, how can I turn it back on?

You could try to reinstall the drivers. That often helps. Otherwise, check the software settings.

LEMARK X5150 ALL IN ONE CENTER HANGS WHILE SCANNING

It could be due to the printer driver not installed properly. Try to uninstall your existing printer driver then re-install using the driver from the Lexmark website. To uninstall, on your computer, go to Start menu > Programs > Lexmark 5100 Series folder > Tools > Uninstall. Reboot pc when prompted.
When your computer turns on, please visit the Lexmark website to download and install the Lexmark X5150 Printer Driver on your computer. Select your operating system > click on "FILTER" > click on the driver under Recommended Downloads > download and execute the file. Simply follow the instructions on your computer screen to complete the installation.

Cannot get my lexmarkx5150 to scan pictures, what should I do??

Make sure the USB cable connection is properly secured in the back of the printer and your computer. If you have a firewall enabled, make sure to allow all Lexmark softwares and printer communications to go through.

I am not computer literate, so I want to ask for your help on how to use the scanner of Lexmark X5150, step by step.

Download the Lexmark X5150 User's Guide available at http://bit.ly/aSItHD. Scroll to page 22 for the Scanning instructions. The Lexmark scan software is available in the installation disk. Thank you for choosing Lexmark.

Lift the cover where you place originals to scan / fax, and clean the narrow scanner glass underneath. There are simply some specs of dirt that when the original is scanned across them, they show up as lines

Can't scan to PDF

I would suggest scanning each page into their own file, convert each into a .pdf, and then using a free program to combine the .pdf pages.

Lexmark x5150

This is the response I got from Lexmark.

Thank you for contacting us regarding this matter. I appreciate the
opportunity to assist you, and I hope my suggestions will provide a
resolution.

The Vista drivers available on the Lexmark website do not contain the
All-In-One Center. They are minimum drivers. Although the scan drivers
are shipped with the web package, they cannot be used by the All-In-One
Center since it is not included. Please use Windows Scanners and
Cameras or Photo Gallery for Scanning.

Please follow the steps given below to perform the WIA scanning:

1. Click on "Start," and "Windows photo gallery."

2. Under "Windows photo gallery" click on "File" and " Import from
camera and scanner."

3. Select the "Lexmark X5150 printer" and click on the import button.

4. To begin the scanning process, click "Scan Now."

If you have any more questions or concerns, please contact me at your
convenience and I will be happy to assist you. (If I am not available,
