try to re start the power first to reset the supply in which the door unable to open and then push the open/close button to open the door. if still won't open maybe their is an stuck up at mechanical part, so turn off the player then use a Phillip screw driver to loosen the screws and to remove the cover of the DVD player .you can now access the disc mechanical assembly of your DVD player, remove the CD first and then check if the plastic gear is mis aligned or the the drive belt is broken.much better if you can apply silicon grease in plastic gear for smooth operation.then make sure the open/close button is ok, good luck and good day.
Please check the bellow instructions:- Turn off your DVD player. Locate your DVD player's manual Eject button. It is usually a small hole located underneath the DVD drawer. Insert a stiff wire-such as a paperclip or safety pin-into the hole. Push gently and the drawer should open partway. Gently pull the drawer the rest of the way open. Remove the DVD and see if there is a problem with it. Most DVD player drawers get stuck when a DVD is warped or the label is starting to peel. If the DVD is warped, discard it. If the label is peeling, remove the label. Turn your DVD player back on. If it gets stuck again on a different DVD, then the problem may be with your DVD player rather than with your DVDs.

Hi, is it fully open, or just partially open? Is it nearly shut but just jammed? If so have you tried inserting a flat peice of plastic and pulling the draw open. You could do this with no power to the dvd player, It might be that you haven't inserted the disc properly and it is wedged in.
First let's find out if the motor is dead or
the magnetic clamp is to strong for the motor.
Press eject then listen closely for the sounds of struggling motor
if you hear it trying SLAP the top right over the DVD drive
and that should break the magnetic seal and release the tray
you may have to try a few times Press eject and open hand slap kinda
hard the top of the DVD drive , don't worry you won't hurt it.
if that works email me and ill tell you how to fix this.
something stuck our dvd-door.
1. open the dvd
2. remove the thing that block our dvd door (like paper, tissue, paperclip)
maybe our dvd mechanic door had block by dust
-----basicaly, clean it.
in my case. I knock the upper top of the dvd door hard (but not by hammer, by my hand) while i push open button (the menu open/'open' word is display at the menu). if u're lucky, the dvd door will open
Some CD/DVD units have a manual opening mechanism, it looks like a small hole on the front of the unit, try using a needle or a metal rod that fits by inserting it into the hole and pushing it should open the unit in case it got stuck somehow.
If afterwards it continues to work then all's good else you'll have to bring it to a workshop.
hmm...I'm trying to remove the dvd player but it just wont budge after removing the screws the player is on with the 2 side metal latches...any suggestions? Thx for your help!
where is the hole?!
