Blue Screen Alright guys, am new on here. My dad brought the projector home from work and I'm ttying to hook it up to my computer so that I can play games on a big screen! I have used a S-Video Cable to connect teh projector to my computer however, when I turn the projector on, all I get is a blue screen which says: "S-Video" "Auto" And this is all I have, I don't get the computer screen that I want. Why is this and can you tell me how to fix it? Cheers, Joel.

I have a sony vpl vw60 projector. When it is turned on it shows only a blue screen. I do hear the DVD playing but only blue is shown on the screen. Not sure of the problem. I do have a replacement bulb...

Check out your output, they all show blue until you hook something up to them, make sure you have it hooked up right. write a post and let me know what you have hooked up to it.

It worked beautifully last night with my macbook in a test run of my powerpoint, but this morning I plugged it in for the REAL presentation it didnt work. A bright, clear picture of the Viewsonic Logo...

you might need to turn off your computer .
then connect the data projector
and turn on data projector
then turn on computer
hopefully it detects the data projector is connected and switches windows to duplicate projection
On my P.C. F4 key in windows Switches the display manually to duplicate, alternate screen or pc screen only or projector screen only.
As I am not familiar with Apple this support article below might explain the switching of display outputs available on Apple Mac.

Guys, the projector doesn't do HDCP.  HDMI won't work.  You'll need to run over component or VGA.

Blue screen

Hi Guys,

I recently struck this issue with one of our PB6100's. To resolve I did the following:
  1. Enter service menu (found on AVForums): PRESS AND HOLD UP BUTTON UNTIL LAMP HOURS ARE DISPLAYED, PRESS THE POWER AND BLANK BUTTONS TOGETHER
  2. Under the Fan menu select "More Options". You should then be in the "Fac7 Submenu".
  3. Select "Hard Reset". Note that this will reset the lamp hours also!
  4. Power off & then on again. Test input.

The above worked for me. Hope it helps.
