The wifi on my lg ally turns off my phone

Try taking the battery out, and the sim. Then after a few minutes, put them back into the phone. This usually resets the stuff on the phone e.g time and date.

Then try switching the wi-fi on.

It usually works on my phone after I've done this. If not, then ring up the technical team for LG and they can guide you better

Try updating your roaming capabilities, dial *228 (Verizon Customer) .... follow the instructions. This helped my text delays. I make a habit of updating my phone monthly but sooner if I notice I'm having connection issues or text delays.

Try reprogramming your phone by dialing *228 and selecting option 1. If this call does not go through, your phone either has a broken radio (which I do not believe you can replace, you would need to start the warranty replacement procedure with Verizon), or you are in an area with very weak to no signal.

Try the process again in an area with stronger signal, and if it works, dial *228 and select option 2 to update your PRL (list of towers), then try again in the original location to see if the updated list helps your phone find a tower.

If you find that your phone is getting signal in other areas, but not a specific place that it used to, you should call Verizon from another phone and pick option 3. Their tech support can do advanced troubleshooting with you to find any potential problems with the network, and they can file a trouble ticket if there is a problem with the tower in your area.
