Red is out of convergence
These sets use STK392-110 voltage amplifiers in the convergence circuit. Chances are good that these are causing your problem. It is best to upgrade these to STK392-150. There may also be some low tolerance resistors that have gone off value. I do not suggest, however, that you do this work yourself unless you have some electronics training. Find yourself a good technician that does component level repair and not board level. The labor will be higher, but the parts will be significantly lower.
i am trying the dvd sinble layer disc diagnostics and get the error msg " Check Focus S-level" only options are to press ok/enter / NG:stop on the remote. then the Drive Auto adjustment goes back to the main menu in the service menu of the dvd player.
