How long does it take to formatt an h9104v dvr

The dvr wasn't recording and had a red H showing. I disconnected the power and cameras from the back of the DVR.plugged the power back in while the cameras are still disconnected.went to main menu, went to devices, went to DHH, line one said OK, put a check in top box ofselect column, clicked format HDD, and hit OKon the warning prompt. It's been reading formatting please wait for hours now. how long does it take to format

How to get playback to show picture? When I select a segment I get only a black screen. I get a picture on manual but it freezes up the dvr.

the dvr may be full need to delete some of the stuff on it..

How do i get an 8gb sd card to work in my vivitar dvr-530 cam corcoder?

The DVR-530 works with SD cards, which max out at 2GB. Your 8GB card is actually an SDHC, not an SD card. While SDHC cards fits into the slot, they are electronically incompatible and will not work in this camcorder. You need to use SD cards, 2GB and smaller.

How do i hook-up my vcr to my cable dvr to record saved shows

Hi,
In order to record from VCR to DVR You need to connect "VCR audio/video output RCA jacks " to" DVR 's Audio / Video Input RCA jacks.. ..
use either "RCA analog (red/white+ yellow ) " or "optic " cable.(any standard optical cable )..if exist .optic is the best way to connect it..Remember your VCR 's "OUT" goes into" IN "of DVR ..
pls also remember,wherever you connect your VCR on your DVR ,you should switch the source selector accordingly to correspond to the connection on the back...
Now you can record anything on DVR which played in VCR ..

DVR-625 DTV Receiver can it be used as a camera recorder

YES, it will record ANYTHING as long as it is in correct format. You use the Composite Video, Yellow, Input. and the AV Audio, input, red & White. This should be no problem. You need a camera that is compatible, with your system, either PAL or NTSC.

Unable to record show on the DVR

Try a hard reboot. Hold the power button on the box till it turns itself off. It will turn itself back on. After restarting try to record live tv. If you can't watch recorded shows either your harddrive may be fried. After thought, a $20 tv tuner card from e-bay for your computer, you could record them to your desktop.
