I recently went through a significant virus clearout as recommended through this web-site advice. Great support - thanks !! I used Majorgeeks.com - recommend highly ! However, according to the HP website, I have finished up with a registry problem Fatal Error 1606 MSI self-installing Port monitor. The result is that the insatllation for this printer stopped and generated an error report. Full installation not complete. Can someone help and advise please.

Delete the key (registry path) listed in the error from the Windows Registry, and run the installation again.
or if that doesn't work, I read this from another post.

Try the following to fix the probelem:
1. Run regedit.
2. go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders
3. In User Shell Folder find the Value Name "Recent" and rename it to say "RecentOld".
4. Next create a Expandable String Value.
5. The value name will be "Recent" and the value date will be "%USERPROFILE%\Recent".
6. When your done your entry should look like this:

Name: Recent
Type: REG_EXPAND_SZ
Data: %USERPROFILE%\Recent

This should take care of your problem.

Model# 66568601891 (Whirlpool) Error code F5. Can't find solutions in the forums for this code for microwaves but yes for others appliances with different meanings. I unplugged appliance for 24 hrs and...

F5 may be a transient problem (grease, impending failure) involving the door switches or *possibly* a sensor error.

There should be a "mini-manual" (tech sheet) hidden inside the unit behind the control panel or hidden on the left side behind the grille, which is very helpful when troubleshooting, testing, and locating components.

It should also have the fault / error codes.

At our Web site, we have a video available showing how to remove a typical over the range control panel assembly in under 5 minutes.

You can find helpful exploded view diagrams and order parts by entering your full model number from the tag on the oven here.

Error1606

These are the fixes for that error that I am familiar with...The first one usually does it.

Click on “Start-Run, type “regedit” (without the quotes) Navigate to this registry path:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER --> Software --> Microsoft --> Windows --> Current Version --> Explorer --> User Shell Folders
Clear the key: Recent (right mouse click on the key/folder, choose “Delete”) Close the Registry Editor and restart the computer.

I have a norton 360 antivirus software in my pc upon purchased but expired already. upon scan 51 cookies treaths was found. i did not renew upgrade so the viruses can not be fixed how do i solve this

It's easy! For one thing DON'T renew Norton. It sucks. Two great anti virus programs that I have used recently are FREE ! !! One is AVG Anti-Virus and I would also recommend CCLEANER (**** Cleaner). AdWare is another good one. In fact, I have all THREE on my computer and use them on a regular basis. Just GOOGLE the names I gave you and forget about Norton...... Did I mention they are FREE ?????????????? :)

Hi:
here is my advice : Just go to www.microsoft.com and download internet explorer again and install it , then reboot your system . I'm sure that this will solve the problem . any way , why don't you try other internet communication softwares like ( firefox or google chrome) those both are great also . I advice you to have more than one internet communication software . I already have three just in case if one of them is corrupted . I have ( Internet explorer and firefox and google chrome ) . just try the idea and you'll be satisfied with the result .

If that didn't help then try to check system for errors . such as registry errors .
good luck .

if none of those didn't work , then repair the the system or reinstall it again , i recommend repairing .

rate if useful please !

I also have the same problem,

Error while unpacking program, code LP5.
-It means the software has been corrupted,

In order for you to check what that software is,
analyze the error message and dont close it yet,
Beside the Error message when you minimize it, you should see a logo beside it, make sure you know what that software is.
That software has been corrupted, so you should reinstall it, or uninstall.

Ill give a screenshot so you can understand what i mean .
a3df7b7.jpg

as you can see in the screenshot, i have spotted the software and it is DAP(Download Accelerator Plus Premium).

I can see that in your case, you have a problem with your downloader, as it is the reason why you cant download fromany other sites.

You can go into your Internet Explorer settings and disable cookies but some web sites will no load if you have cookies disabled.

You should not run more than one virus scanner on the same pc as they will conflict with each other.
