I am looking for a good bowl to use for my dogs water while travelling long hours in the car. The bowl we use at home is not sturdy enough and water is constantly spilling from it. Does anyone know of a travel friendly/safe water bowl?

You should look into the Road Refresher Dog Bowl from Jolly Pets. We use it on our road trips and it is amazing. There hasn't been one spill yet! Here's a site where you can get some more information on this product -

My dog will eat our food but will not eat his , he is being given wainrights he just wants our food

A dog can go without food for a few days and then will eat when it is hungry. Just stop giving your dog your food and at its normal feeding time give it a bowl of its food. If it does not eat it, take the food away. Then 24 hours later put the bowl of food out for the dog. If it has not eaten it within ten minutes take it away and then 24 hours later put the bowl of food out for the dog again. By now the dog should be happy to eat what it is given.

Which dog bowl should I buy in order to keep the feeding area clean?

You should pick the elevated dog bowl for cleaner feeding area. You clean the surface of the feeder table rather than the floor. In addition, the elevated dog bowl can minimize the behavior of dogs that like to splash in their water bowls.

Why would someone use a heated pet bowl?

Heated bowls are ideal for outdoor pets. In order to keep your dog/cats water from freezing in cold temperatures, heated bowls are the only way to go. Make sure to look for one with a "anti-chew" cord protector to further ensure your pets safety.

What is an automatic waterer?

An automatic waterer is a tool that systematically dispenses your dogs water. They are a great tool to ensure your dog stays hydrated at all times. They are especially beneficial for families who may not be in the home for long periods during the day. Water continuously circulates through a filter, keeping the water fresh and bacteria free.

My dog is home most of the day by himself and I worry that his bowl water l is always empty when I come home

It's possible that your dog is drinking a lot of water while you are out - there are water bowls that replenish themselves a bit like the water dispensers you find in an office, I found one here http://www.petstore.com/Petmate_Petmate_Caf%C3%A9_Dog_Automatic_Feeders_Waterers-Petmate_(Doskocil)-DK24405-DGBFAU-vi.html they are not that expensive and you will probably get some peace of mind while you are out.
