First off, my Nano's been fine (used it Monday) and it has not been subjected to any abuse. What makes today different is that I charged it on a Maxell Universal Recharging Dock at work. I put it in the dock and it showed it was charging. After a while it said "charged" which seemed right since the battery was not that depleted. After most everyone had left, I thought I'd listen to some tunes through my speakers, so I pressed the Menu button. Nothing. I took it out of the dock and the backlight came on, but the click wheel is unresponsive. I started Googling and have gone through all of the reset/restore procedures I can find. Moving the Hold back and forth and holding down Menu+Select does nothing. Have tried this many times and have been very careful where pressing. Nothing. Came home and hooked it up to my computer with the original USB cable. iTunes started right up and the Nano is fully recognized. I did the Restore and Update. Everything seems copacetic. However, when I try the click wheel, still nothing. I tried the Restore and Update one more time. Still nothing. I told iTunes to Eject and the language select menu is there but I can't do anything with it. Any ideas?

Usually answered in minutes!
After being very frustrated, I let it sit overnight, alone and unattached to anything to think about what it had done. lol.
Saw it on my way out the door this am and thought to give it one more shot. I switched on and off the Hold, then held down Menu and Select and low-and-behold it reset! Nothing better than seeing that white apple!
OK, now to reload everything and figure out what could possibly be wrong with the Maxell dock. hmmm.
Hope this works for others as well.
I talked to Maxell Tech Support and they are very helpful and responsive!
I do not remember what state (On/Off) my Nano was in when I put it on and took it off the dock, but I've been told it needs to be OFF for both. That makes sense, as that is what is recommended for the car charger/fm transmitter that I have as well.
I've not had a chance to try it again, but remember to keep your iPod OFF when plugging/unplugging it from anything. They're soooooo sensitive. :)
my menu screen is frozen or my click wheel is frozen. It won't scroll or it won't play the music, it just doesn't seem to respond. I've held the menu and select button down to reset it, then the apple pops up but it goes back to doing the same thing. If you have any suggestions I would love to hear it.
Thanks a bunch!!
