Toshiba 46H84 My daughter sprayed Mr Clean onto the scree and it appears to have gotten in between the two screens. I have tried the blow dryer technique to no avail. There are still black marks on the screen. Is there any way to take it apart for cleaning? If so what should I use? Any help would be great Brian

I have a toshiba 46h84 the picture is very light and lines all across the screen what could this be?

Possible screen controls in the set are up too high---if you turn picture and brightness to zero does the screen get full black?

screens set too high would give diagonal faint trace lines in the picture.

These sets also should get a annual cleaning of the lens and sometimes the mirror inside= if this is the case the picture will usually look darker and dull ----this will not affect lines in picture.

the lens are easy to clean but other actions depend on what your response is to the above information.

Lines on my toshiba model 46h84 projection tv has lines on screen until it warms up What could be causing thi. Once it warms up the picture is fine. which takes about 10 minutes

I have the same issue with mine which started a couple of months ago and has only gotten worse. I've been googling this and found that it could be the convergence module(s), apparently there are 1-3 of them and ALL of them should be replaced. I'm not sure on a cost, but I'm guessing it won't be cheap. I think we are just going to get a new tv, with the prices for LCD's coming down this will probably be a cheaper option. Good Luck :)

No picture but sound on Toshiba 46h84

If you feel comfortable enough, you can try replacing the pico fuses on the power supply board. Test them with a multi meter very carefully.. these sets have up to 5000 volts and care should be taken, even by a professional with the back panel removed.

Your laptop's hard drive must be corrupted. Try a clean install of your operating system or try using the recovery cds included with your laptop.

Smudge marks???

If they are grease marks you can use a warm water a soft cloth like a t-shirt and little dish washing liquid. Gentley wipe the area only stroking down or up--- NEVER SIDE TO SIDE---. Have a dry cloth ready if you drip water down the screen. Now if those are scuff marks, your done, they cannot be removed. They are like the old record albums with the grooves, once the grooves get distorted that's it. Good luck.

Liquid behind the screen

put a hair drier on low at the source of the problem, that should fix it.
