Player only plays first 3 tracks on CD and then stops
My 5 carousel CD player has recently begun to only play the first 3 (sometimes 4) tracks of a CD and then simply stops and skips to next CD. Not a problem with the CD's. I suspect a laser alignment issue inside CD Player but don't know anything about this. any suggestions before I head out to buy a new CD palyer would be appreciated.

Could be the power supply voltage is low, possibly due to a bad capacitor, it seems that when the counter advances it is pulling the voltage down enough to cause the problem you are experiencing. If you can select a disc in the service mode, the counter should be inactive, and you can see if the disc will play through.
Sounds like tracking motor and/or gear problem!
Check for a small crack on the tracking gear.
Parts not avalible from Bose though, they'll only
fix as a "flat rate"!
i have begun having a problem with my
4-5 year old bose 321 system. sometimes
dvd's burned on my computer will not play
on my bose 321 system. sometimes they
will. what's up with this? it's not a bad media
problem. i've narrowed it to the player. sometimes
i'll play a computer burned dvd on the bose and
it will play fine. next time i try to play it it won't

Hold down the Display/Menu function button (one of those three buttons on the left of the unit) for about 3-4 seconds until the display reads "t set". When this appears, push the track forward button once (>>|) so the display reads "beep"; now press the play pause button (>||) once. The display will now say "on", push the track forward button (>>|) once to make it read "off"; now push the stop play button. You're done. Enjoy the silence.
