Du/f -- what does it mean? the door is locked. where is the kick plate. how do i open it to unlock the door manually? I need help. where do i find the codes and what they mean? HELP!!!!!!!!!!!

I HAD the same problem, but figured out how to fix it. Push and hold the AIR DRY button down for 4 seconds, until the lock light goes off.

I also have the Kenmore Elite Smartwash and have the HF error code flashing. It recently did this and backed up so much water in our wall that it leaked out into a bedroom. We thought that the problem was solved when we cleaned out the filter and checked the hoses. All seemed to work fine and we recarpeted the bedroom. Now (three weeks later) it is flashing the same error code again. Please help!

We have a Kenmore Ultra bake oven, it was working fine then I had the door open then a code : EO -F2- came o, What does that mean? We turned off all power then powered it up again and now it its saying it is locked, How do I unlock it?

Try shutting off the machine. Switch off Usually the door opens in 2 minutes or so. Do not force open the door. There may be instructions in your book to open the door manually. It could mean unscrewing somewhere.

The error FH will stem from the drain pump operation and sometimes from the flow meter itself. Unscrew the front bottom panel, 3 screws underneath. You can drain the water out by the drain pipe you see. The filter sits right in front and just unscrews. Make sure to have enough towels on hand or a wet vac to soak up the water from the filter. After you have checked the filter make sure both water valves are turned on, clear the error by pressing pause/cancel twice. Check to make sure the drain hose is not kinked and that there is no siphon problem, meaning your exit hose is not too deep into the drainpipe. If the error still returns after checking the above, the next thing to suspect is the flow meter itself. This sits right in line with the water inlet valves. It's just a reed valve that measures the amount of water entering the washer and monitors the pressure switch. You can access it by removing the top and it will be on the left side in line with the inlet valve. Look for holes in this tube, change if any.

"F02" is a Long Drain error. This is an indication that there's an obstruction somewhere in the drainage system. Most commonly, the drain pump reservoir needs to be checked and cleaned. The access screws are on the bottom front edge of the lower toe panel directly below the door. You may need to prop up the two front feet of the washer to access them (a 2x4 works well for this). It does not take much to damage the pump impeller or motor. Since the error code is generated if the drain cycle exceeds 8 minutes, if the pump is damaged and can't pump at the required volume, the error code will continue to appear until the pump is replaced. Thanks for using FixYa. Error fdl means a Door Lock Error occurs if the door cannot be locked. It will try to lock it six times before displaying the error code.

It has occurred due to
1. Door lock mechanism is broken or removed from door.
2. Door switch/lock unit failure. To unlock it follow the steps—
a. Unplug washer or disconnect power.
b. Check door switch/lock unit.
c. Check the wire harness connections to the door switch/lock unit and Central Control Unit (CCU).

WHAT IS DU?

DU is door unlock error - A Door Unlock Error occurs if the door cannot be unlocked. It will try to unlock the door 6 times before displaying the error.

Solutions -

Door Lock Mechanism broken.

Check Door Lock/Switch Assembly for foreign objects

Check Wire Harness connections to the Door Lock/Switch Assembly and Central Control Unit (CCU)

Dont know the code but i would imagine it means the water has not emptied in the max time preprogrammed,either the drain is slow or blocked or drain pump is faulty

brand new and you changed the latch mech.? door latch or lock asm.? DU is door unlock error, it tried to unlock and cant. usually replace lock asm (inside machine) for this problem. may have latch out of alignment.

Door stuck Locked Control Locked light on

Try unplugging the washer for at 30 minutes to reset the computer, first. If this proves unsuccessful, you can retrieve you clothes by using the manual release. The following link explains how:

Once you retrieve your clothes, try running diagnostics on it. You can envoke the diagnostic sequence by selecting DRAIN/SPIN, NO/SPIN and then pressing any button under OPTIONS 4 times (must be the same button). The display should go to "C00" as the washer begins a sequence of tests that checks the fill functions, door lock, dispenser functions, motor speed, spin and drain. Allow the washer to run through the entire sequence and shut off. If anything is wrong an error code should be generated. Hopefully, all you had was a minor glitch. Let me know how things turn out. Just in case there is a pull string with a loop, all plastic under the latch, need to pull the toe panel off and reach up inside the right, unplugged of course until you feel the switch. a pull latch is below the switch incase this happens and hats off to all star/ a serial error or a faulty switch is most of what causes this to start.
