Re: how to mute the radio
Here is the link for the user manual for the arx 4570 which is similar; (sorry exact model manual not available that i could find)
For this model - the only ways you can mute it are by using the mute button on the set or on the remote control.
Hope this helps - please ask again if not :)

Hi, i'll need a bit more info to be able to give you an opinion , am i correct in assuming the "new kenwood " is a radio/cd player ? If so do you have a car phone or a hands free kit for your mobile/cell phone ? Assuming the kenwood is a radio the mute wire has to be connected to the car phone/mobile hands free kit , this is usually described in the phone installation directions , how the mute system works is when you recieve a call the signal is sent via the phone system to the radio , which is where the mute wire comes into use .If you have either of the phone set ups i've described post back with there details , make , model etc ,if you do not have this type of system and are using an ear piece then the mute funtion can't be used , i hope this is of some help to you
hello my blue tooth set does work, but my radio doesent mute when the phone is ringing, I cant find the sulution , even in my radio menu its not possible to mute the music when the phone rings? can any body help.thnx
Check that you have not muted the sound on your mobile by going into your phones menu then settings then sounds. Check that mute is not on. Also there could be a fault on the network but it is more than likely you have 'muted' the incoming calling signal. If you can change it per caller, check under your contacts that there is no restrictions there.
It is only one specific wire, what kind of radio is it? They can all be different, but normally it has a cell phone mute wire which could be a light blue or pink wire not to be confused with the amp turn on or power antenna wire.
