Hp deskjet 5550 printing only a few lines per page

When I try to print from MS word, the printer puts out pages that only have 1-2 sentences per page. It is like trying to print a paragraph and it will print the 1st two sentences on the first page, 3rd and 4th sentences on the second page, etc. I cant seem to figure out what to do to fix this. HELP!

The printer driver is corrupt. Uninstall it from the computer before trying to reinstall the driver. If you don't have the driver CD you can go to HP's website and download it.

HP Deskjet D2560

First step is to see will if it print a test page.
Go to Start, settings, printers. Right click on the printer, properties, print test page.If that doesn't work there should be a head cleaning option in properties that will make it clean the print heads.
Try the self-test? I'm not sure on the 5550 printer, but do this:With the printer ON,
1. Press and hold the power button
2. While holding the power button, press the resume button 4 times
3. Release the power button

Deskjet 5550; Windows 7; Microsoft Office 2007; not printing

That is strange
Try changing the default to a different printer (Microsoft XPS Document Writer) see if it prints to it...

Then (If that works) try switching the 5550 back to default.

If that don't do it, uninstall thee printer, reboot and reinstall the printer.

open the related word document.
select 1 line above the Text in question, press enter twice.
That way, the text will drop by 2 lines.
try a test page on this, alternatively try using a different label layout, until you get the desired result.
