When i turn my Napster on the screen says "Devise cannot initialize HDD. Please connect to charger and try again. This devise will turn off".
However when I connect it to the charger it keeps turning on to show this screen, turns off, and then on again with the same screen etc etc.
Try taking the back off & unplugging the battery from the hard drive for a few seconds. This worked for me. You could also try pressing the reset button on the back of the player (I used the end of a bent paper clip). Leave it plugged into the charger when you take the back off. Good luck!

Disconnect the Power cord from the back of printer (while printer is on) Wait for 10 seconds, Connect the cord back and wait till it initializes. Close HP Director or HP Solution Center, Try to Scan, It should work.
Have you seen the button on the left of your devise. Just hold that down and it ashould turn on. Another problem might be that the lock is on. The way you turn the lock off is you look on the side of the mp3 and if you see orange on one side the lock is on and you cant turn off the devise. On the p2 it says hold on it. just slide the hold button down and the lock will be off. If none of those work then you shold replace your device for a new one cause i have one and it's awesome. You will need to reset the Netcommand and tuner settings in the set.
The little indented button in the front of the set needs to be pushed in (when the set is off). The front light will blink for about a minute or minute and a half.
Then, reprogram the Netcommand settings.
This should solve your problem.
