When you tyr to zoom in it won't zoom. also when u try to take a picture it wont take a picture. Thank you for your time in trying to help me with my camera.
Take a close look at the lens barrels. Are they bent, out of round or (gasp) cracked?
A jammed lens is the most common cause of the problems you are discribing. The only solution is to replace the lens unit and the cost of the part alone is more then the camera is worth.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.
Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use Nikon Transfer or any other photo cataloging program.
Unfortunately your camera sensor died. Taking long term video clips can cause this. It is necessary to change the sensor but it is not useful for your camera brand and model. Because your camera is chiper than this repair process. Not economic.
Zoom has had a knock Always check the batteries first but if is it still giving the same fault, your camera is faulty. It should be taken to an authorized repair centre for a repair estimate. Very few digital cameras have any user-serviceable parts.

Thanks Richard Scott Technical Support New Zealand
sir,
the camera must be in warranty period. because its warranty period is of 12months, in that case please contact the dealer or else just go to nearby service shop and get replaced within $8.
in other hand, you cannot fix it by your self.
thanks for contacting fixya. have a nice day
Make sure you have either a fully charged batteries or a new batteries. Could be some internal problems such as loose connections. Camera sounds like it needs repair. Repair for this camera, due to age may be beyond what you would want to spend.
