http://lgdishwasher.yolasite.com/ MINE JUST STARTED AGAIN TODAY. SWOLLEN BOTTOM DOOR GASKET LOOKS LIKE HILLS UP AND DOWN. ALLOWING WATER TO OVER FLOW DOOR BOTTOM. GETS TRAPPED BEHIND GASKET. PAN HAS LITTLE WATER WHEN YOU OPEN DOOR. BUT CAN SEE RUN OUT OVER EDGE WHEN RUNNING WITHOUT OUTER DOOR SKIN, ALSO LEAKS AT TOP CORNERS DUE TO DEFORMED CORNER GASKET. THEY SHOULD HAVE MADE THE GASKET ROUND IN CORNERS TO KEEP IT SEALING, HAD TO MAKE C METAL CLIPS 4 INCHES LONG TO HOLD BOTTOM GASKET TIGHT TO BOTTOM PAN, USED 4 CLIPS AND TWO SMALLER AT ENDS
Check that your supply faucet is open, Check if there is a screen in the supply line, these can become blocked due to scale deposits from the mains. If there is no screen check that the inlet solenoid valve has not got blocked. If none of the above help, check that there is power getting to the solenoid valve when the machine is supposed to be on the fill cycle. If no power is betting to the valve, the timer might ba faulty. (You can try hand filling the machine and see if it goes through a cycle, at least up to the rinse stage, this will tell you if the timer control is working).
If you feel that there is water not being pumped out, remove the bottom strainers and make sure that there is nothing obstructing the outlet pipe and the pump. If possible back flush through the outlet pipe and try draining the machine again before using it again.
I WOULDNT TURN IT ON ITS SIDE IF IT HASNT FULLY EMPTIED. I WOULD TRY A DILUTED SOLUTION OF Mr MUSCLE DRAIN UN-BLOCKER. THEN RUN ON A FULL CYCLE STRAIGHT AWAY.
Where is the pool of water. At the bottom of the dishwasher (inside) or on the floor (outside)??
I'm assuming outside...You'll need to determine if the water is coming from the door or out from underneath the unit.
If it is coming from the door, this is usually the door gasket. Easy to replace and not too expensive!
If it is coming from underneath, then the leak is coming from a seal around where the motor shaft penetrates the interior cavity or there is a crack in the cabinet cavity itself.
If this was helpful, please select YES to the first two RATINGS questions. Good Luck!
Hello. Anything is worth trying! But I would recommend epoxy. It works alot better with plastic and rubber items. Most of the leaks I have found in Kenmore machines are at the water pump. You may want to take a peek while it's running, just stay away from the wires!! Thanks!
