Wont heat enough to solder

Hello, does your solder iron --Weller- humming? Also, is the solder tips the right tips for you Weller woldering gun? Are the tips tightened on the end of the solder gun prongs?

Well, if it is humming there is internal short in the windings inside of the gun. Don't mess with. Recyle it by taking the copper, brass, aluminum, and other metal out. Now, if it is not humming.
Make sure you have right tips, make sure that the tip is tightened in the soldering gun prongs.

The working principal of these soldering guns is that they work on low voltage and very high current. The current is regulated to keep the tip from burning into. Just enough current to heat the tipe to a certain temperature.. It can shock you but there not enough voltage with current but it will hurt. and could burn you. Be careful and lots of luck...GB...stewbison

How do you use an weller wsb25hk change tips?

Hello, just loosen the set screws on the end of the soldering gun barrels. Install new tips and tighten the set screw--sung! If your soldering iron requires that the tips have a 90 degree angle on their ends. You can bend them but be very careful because you can break them end off. The tipes are made of copper with some other alloys and the are kinda brittle. You can do. GB...stewbison

How do i use this product(Weller model Standard 7200)?

You need the nuts that hold the tip in the iron--slide them on, then bend the ends sideways with pliers and leave about 1/4" sticking out sideways. Be sure to make the upper and lower bends in the same direction. Be sure to tin the new tip with solder when you first heat the tip. Hope this helps!

I dont know how to rewire the back of my dean evo xm? i tried to fix the faulty input so i thought the wires were faulty so i tried to rewire it and i dont know where everything goes now. theres red yellow...

It is rare that wires would be faulty. Soldering can be, but not the wires usually.

Common problems are broken jacks or pots that are broken or shorting to the paint in the cavity.

If you have things unwired now, the best thing is to find an appropriate circuit here and wire it like that:

http://www.guitarelectronics.com/c=gpIlkL5hB6ISnsWqCfLePUcJa/category/wiring_resources_guitar_wiring_diagrams/

How long to i leave it on

Turn it on long enough to melt solder, then switch off for a short time. Repeat this process as you solder to avoid oxidizing the tip and solder, yet keeping the solder fluid. If it starts to poorly heat the tips, tighten the tip nuts somewhat to break the oxidation that occurs on the bare copper. Hope this helps!
