Backup camera on double din stereo

I bought a double din stereo on ebay and i cant seem to get the backup camera to work, i ran the rca from the back of the double din to the camera and tied the power and ground wires in to the reverse light wires but the camera still isnt displaying on the screen and the lights around the camera dont come on when i put the car in reverse, anyone have ideas about what i'm doin wrong?????

You probably do not have the camera connected to the back up lights. That would be my guess.

I am trying to hook an esky backup camera to a boss audio bv9986bi sterio. I have the the rca wire hooked up to rca input on the stereo, the red wire from the camera spliced into the reverse light.
When put in reverse the image is up side down

KW-AVX800 is double din. If Passat has enough opening, then it will. My pioneer fh-x700bt bluetooth used to work perfect but now when i turn on the bluetooth setting it says "NO SERVICE". What can I do to fix that?

Do I need a housing to replace stock stereo? Or will this just fit in
There are two types of receivers. Double-DIN and single-DIN. Double-DIN is easy to see as it is DOUBLE the SINGLE-DIN's height. If your vechile is a single-DIN it will only be about 3-4 inches tall, while the DOUBLE-DIN is doulbe that 6-8inches tall.


If you have a DOUBLE-DIN in your car and are installing a SINGLE-DIN you will need a housing.


If you have a SINGLE-DIN in the vechile you will not be able to install a DOUBLE-DIN without heavy moddification and cutting.

I want to replace my Pontiac G6 radio. But I want to keep my "info center" display intact. Is that possible?
There is a kit from Metra called the Metra 99-3303 kit that takes the double din area of the stock stereo and converts it into an info center/single din. Cost is about $123 on ebay.

How do remove the standard stereo from a VZ Commodore and install a double din size stereo?
go on to ebay and search vz stereo there will be listings with stereo removal tools for about $10 and if you are going to install a double din stereo you will also need to buy a kit (http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=190457652235&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT#ht_1157wt_1020) that fits around the display so you can hold the stereo in place. this kit includes all you need including the antenna adapter and another wireing harness

Double din radio doesn't fit in dash
i have a 2002 ford escape and i bought a double din radio and it did not fit and found out it is actually a din and 3/4 with out serious mods (cutting a bigger hole in dash) double din wont fit i bought a single din stereo and a din a 3/4 dash kit works fine

Check eBay...you need a double-din Monsoon Radio...make sure it comes with a code to unlock it.

I have a 2006 Chevy Equinox and today the radio stopped working. Actually it turns on, but the buttons don't work, the volume won't work, the tuner won't respond, etc. I checked the fuse, it's not blown....
You may need to replace the head unit - you can pick up a OEM replacement on ebay for about 70-100, or go to a stereo place and get a double din head unit for as much as you want.

Aftermarket head unit would probably be better anyway, and you can find a decent clarion double din head unit for less than $200, with ipod control, mp3, wma/aac, etc.. it will be better than your OEM stereo.

If you decide to replace the stereo, its really easy and would take only about 30 minutes, message me and i'll tell you how to remove the stereo.
