Question about Pioneer DEH-P44 CD Player

4 Answers

Cd player I've recently had the air conditioner in my car fixed. After it was fixed,my cd player stopped working. The radio still works but it won't read my cd's anymore.I was wondering if maybe there is a security code or maybe something other than the connection that is causing this.I put in a disk to clean the cd player but it wouldn't read it either. I can't even change the mode from radio to cd player. It's like I don't even have an option for cd player on my stereo.

Actually, if it won't even switch to cd mode, it's likely that the white ribbon cable that connects the CD mech to the mainboard. Remove the top cover and four Philips #1screws holding the CD mech in. Lift it out and reseat the cable. Reassemble, reinstall, relax!!

The simptomn you pointed, implies a software crash problem, have the unit unplugged for a min. it may restart your system.

I would first check for a broken or disconnected wire or cable. then check all of the fuses. After this the unit will need to come out of the car and be bench checked. Good Luck

Radio stopped working after going in underground car park

Hello
It is quite common fault to all radios, that it won't get RF signal underground. When you come over from the undergraound car park the things will get right. This is not a fault.

"I`ve used an aerosol air can to clean thru the cd slot"What type? not an "empty" can of paint, hairspray, chemical of some sort i hope. Compressed air at most I hope. If not, that's your Bose out the window!
The lense sounds like it needs a clean, you can buy these in disc for with tiny brushes on. Made by BIB and Allsop amongst many brands

CD player in my 2004 Dodge Stratus doesn't work

are they Burned or copied CD's? CDR, CDRW? cause if they are some radios will not read them and give error messages. if not try using a lazer lens cleaner CD, they sell them at most music stores, you may have lint or dust on the CD lens with summer weather, and pollen in the air and dust, CD player lenses take a beating, so get a WET lazer lens CD cleaner, and that should help fix the problem

CD PLAYER IN CAR WILL NOT TAKE CD'S

What the writer seems to be referring to is the same problem that I have with my 2003 Passat CD player. It keeps ejecting the CD. As quickly as you insert it, the CD player ejects it. The radio and cassette player work fine. Any ideas?
