Paper Stuck in Printing Calculator

4-3-07 Our accountant got some paper lodged in her Sharp EL-2630PIII & as secretary it's my job to try and be "Mrs. FixIt. I've got most of it out of the "feeding chamber" where you insert the paper but short of figuring out how to take it apart I do not see a way to get the rest of the paper out- or how to safely take it apart for that matter. Maybe the commenter should get a life and do something else besides trolling sites like this sniping at people trying to do real work.

We came here to see if someone had solved the problem...sure, we're smart enough to buy a new one, but why throw out something that can be fixed for a few minutes time or a few dollars investment.

My problem ended up being a small piece of paper caught in the paper path...working paper through it several times cleared the issue. Hope that helps someone.

Sharp calculator EL-1801V smears ink on paper. Why?

There are some ideas in the link. Check that the ink roller hasn't become dislodged and is dragging on the paper. Also check that there is no torn paper in the gap between paper and roller that has soaked up ink like a wick..

Sharp EL-2630PIII Deluxe Heavy Duty Color Printing Calculator is not showing a negative on the display. It shows in red on the tape, but not display. How do I fix? It's only a month old.

It appears to be down to 'Rounding', but the manual does state negative amounts are printed in red. Selector set to 5/4?

I have a Sharp EL-2192RII printing calculator. The paper cutter broke. Could anyone tell me where I can get a replacement? Thank you.

In my experience Sharp isn't good on spare parts and you probably won't be able to buy a replacement.

You could try gluing or taping a Stanley knife blade to the casing...

Paper does not advance properly on my sharp el-1801p calculator

probably there is paper underneath the printer..if you are handy you have to open the printer underneath to take stuck paper out.
or take apiece of clear place ,that can enter where you pass the paper.and let the plastic come the other side out.
probably it willcome with anything that is stuck beneath the printer

Sharp calculator EL-1197P III paper feed stuck

Hi

I trust you are well.

This might be trivial however when you replace your paper roll the edge of the edge paper must be cut straight otherwise the paper will not feed correctly.

Hope this solution is as easy as that, If not open the claculator paper feed compartment and check the gear mechanism for chipped teeth or foreign objects stuck inside.

I have replaced the ribbon twice now but the print still comes out very light

I'm having the same problem. This is my second Sharp EL-2630PIII calculator and the first one did not have this problem (prior job). I can change the ribbon and the print is still so light I cannot scan it as part of my work papers... which is a huge problem as an accountant.

CE button doesn't clear on my SHARP EL-2630PIII

CE stands for Clear Entry. It clears the number that one just entered. To clear the results of a previous calculation use the key AC, if calculator has one. Otherwise try pressing the CE key twice or enter 0, because that is what the clear button will do.
