That's normal operation for automatic traction control.

maybe brake light switch located near your brake petal needs adjusting...its simply a push button that the brake petal hits as the brake petal is depressed usually u can just pull on them toward you and they'll "self-adjust" after pressing on brake petal...push on brake petal with ur hand and make sure this button is depressed while the pedal is down...

i had an issue with a nissan xterra and it turned out to be a Cam position sensor. Who would have thought? Engine light would be my primary concern, local auto parts store (advance or autozone) can pull the service engine code.

First check vacuum leaks. Some "check engine" light there? Try scanning the computer looking fault codes stored.

to reset for a momentany malfuntion,disconnect the negative battery terminal few minutes, reconnect,start engine and drive to check

check for a clogged catalytic convertor ( car usually sounds like a vacuum cleaner when you are accelerating )

You need to have the codes pulled and diagnoised. It could be the cam sensor, fuel pump, fuel filter, or the catalytic convertor as well as a combination. Have you cleaned your Mass air sensor?

take it to a shop and have them run a diagnostic on it so you know for sure whats wrong whether its the trac control or the transmission

I took my 2005 LS to the dealer for 40k maintenance stuff, oil and fluid changes, tire rotation, etc. The "check" Advance Trac light was an issue with me too. I would have figured that the Advance Trac system simply needed "checking" along with regular maintence because it was "time". However, this was a hold-over problem from the last maintenance I had had - the light had been coming on even after taking it to the dealer previously. I don't think the technician caught it the first time. This next time, I insisted that they look at it. It seems to have been a re-calibration was needed. Now it is fine again...
