May sony tv has sound when you turn it on but no picture

If the problem is same with different input devices and you have ensured the are no loose contacts in power outlet, RC jack, cable and sockets, the TV needs servicing.

I just finished repairing this same product in my shop. The solution I found was. Check all listed power supply voltages, VA +70volt, VScan -70volt, VS +175volt, VE +165volt, Vset +173volt. On the item I was repairing I found only 7 volts available at source for Vset, this caused the no picture, after I found low only -13 volts at Vscan causing smearing in the picture once tyhe Vscan had been repaired. I found defective capacitors at C6827 and C6821 both capacitors were 47mFD @ 10vdc electrolytics. Replaceing these restore the proper working voltage on the G1 power supply module. You need a digital multimeter, soldering skills to repair this problem.
