I got my mp3 ( Samsung YP-F1) for my b.day 4 months ago. It was on low battery so i put it on charge. Five minutes later, i wanted to check something on my mp3 so i unplugged it, when you unplug it the "charging" sign turns off and the screen goes blank, but this time it didn't.It said "fully charged" and didn't go blank. What ever i do, its still frozen like that so i couldn't do anything. I left it like that over night and the next morning (today) the screen was blank. BUT....it wouldn't turn on! :(
The Samsung YP-F1 has a reset button located under the black Samsung cover plate. It can be gently removed via a finger nail or mini flat blade screwdriver. Once plate is removed a hole labeled reset will be seen. Use something like a paper clip and press in. MP3 will power down/reset. MP3 data is also retained after reset.
What you need to do is just let it sit after charging and then about 5 mins later press any three button multiple times then if you set it face down for ten minutes charge again then it should be working jus t fine i hopped i helped and please cheack my problem!! thanks
Mine did the same thing, but I fixed easily. Wait till it turns its self off then plug it back into the computer. If all is good it should say that it is charging. Then unplug it to see if it turns back on. Hope it starts!

Hey, shilly, first of all, thanks for trying to help me with my problem of my mp3 player being stuck on hold. I was so frustrated after no solution to my problem that I took a samuri sword and cracked it in half.
First of all, if when you plug it into your PC, and it works, you might need to charge it again.
I think that you slipping into the mud had
nothing to do with it. The battery probably overheated and stopped working. You can try to fix it, or for a cheaper price you can buy the YP-T9, the newest 2 gig model.
I hope this helps!
