Blue screen after addition of RAM (512 +1GB 2 RAM both 400MHz and DDR 1) PC works perfectly if one of them is removed

You can buy them new or used on E-bay also I have seen them in my local cash convertors and Cex shop.

NO OS stated, Blues screens you mean the BSOD with the halt? statement on screen? i bet yes. (with words on blue screen)

no, (to supposed) yes, to , back to beginning done wrong or luck bad.
so put back the old RAM, does that work.?
or use just 1 stick of old ram. ? 1 by 1.
then repeat, new ram 1by1,
see? one stick is bad, if it all ran perfectly before you touched ram.
buying RAM for such and old PC is not easy.

the Athalon 64 has an ON DIE mmc, memory controller
this sets the base limits of all possible memory.
the memory speed is not by FSB, speeds
simpler terms, the memory is always running at a set fraction of the CPU speed
this chip has the advantage for running , cleaner DDR signals.

what that means , to the user more memory choices.

test the sticks all 1 by 1,,, one good way to test it is run fast games.

DDR stick density rules and numbers and types of memory pre stick and pre side can cause problems on old processors.
I could not find the Athalon 64 rules on this, AMD can tell you at there site but im too lazy to look it up..
best is to let Crucial or Kingston guy you , here. for SURE>

May be Your Problem due to corrupt RAM DDR Commonly reason of Blue Screen Problem is Ram Fault.So U can change Ur Ram May B Ur Problem Will Be Solve.

if ur motherboard has 2 extra RAM slots...den u can add 2 more ddr rams...They come in 512,1gb,2gb catagories...

it could be two reasons.
1. your RAM has a issue ( try a different ram from a friends pc)

2. your Graphics card is having an issue. ( try removing & fixing back on, if it does notwork.. either get a friends graphics card & ifix on to your pc & chk or fix your VGA card on to another PC & chk if the VGA card works. either way you will find out what wrong.
