SOURCE: Nikon Coolpix 2100/3100/3200 battery compartment door latch broken (again)

I just purchased a new battery door for $15 with shipping from nikon. They sent a simple assembly diagram and I was able to replace the door in 30 minutes. I used a dremel to cut the old door off, but you dont have to do that. I got a little impatient.

Just buy the plastic piece and u can reuse the metal parts for your old battery door.

SOURCE: Battery Problem

I just had this problem today myself, and looked everywhere online for a solution. I changed the batteries (to Panasonic), and it didn't help. But i tried different batteries (Energizers) and the camera started working again.

Where can i find software for Nikon Coolpix S3200 - precisely this - NIKON DSC COOLPIX S3200-PTP?

You don't need a driver.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Nikon Transfer or Picasa.

My Nikon Coolpix L18 camera is sayi ng battery exhausted and I just replaced batteries

I have the same camera. I am working out an issue where it shuts off while I'm recording videos. But anyway, my solution for you is relatively simple.

Take a q-tip and dip it in rubbing alcohol. Remove the batteries from the camera, and clean the terminals with the q-tip. This should help remove and prevent the buildup of battery acid.

Put the new bateries back in. If they do not work, replace them with rechargeable batteries. I reccomend rechargeable because they are built better. If you don't want to spend the money on them, look into buying lithium. Duracell sells nice lithium batteries.

I personally reccomend Durracel Lithium batteries from my own personal experience.

Hope I helped!

I have a Coolpix L100. On 27 December 2010 after taking a few shots with flash, using rechargable batteries for one year, it displayed in Hungarian that the batteries are depleted, but after I have...

You will have to contact Nikon about any warranty claims. The standard warranty seems to be 1 year.
I have found that there is a firmware update for this camera that allows for support for Ni-MH rechargeable batteries (the original firmware only supported alkaline or lithium batteries). Try that firmware update to see if it resolves your issue.

Which battery used in Nikon l 100 camera

The L100 uses four standard AA batteries. You can use disposable alkalines, disposable lithiums, or rechargeable NiMHs. If you use rechargeables, you'll have to charge them in a separate charger, not the camera itself.

I put new batteries into my nikon camer after I was alerted with the ''battery exhausted'' screen. It now won't turn on.

Make sure you are using rechargable batteries. Normal batteries are not strong enough. Try using either rechargable Lithium Ion batteries, or rechargable Nickel Metal Hydride (NiMH) batteries. These are much stronger and should give you a good battery life.

How long i can cahrge my battery in nikon l20

Actually, you can't charge the battery in the Nikon L20 at all. The camera uses two AA batteries, either disposable alkaline or lithium, or rechargeable Ni-Cad or NiMH. If you use rechargeable batteries, you will need to use a separate recharger, as the camera does not contain any recharging circuitry.

Short battery life with Nikon Coolpix L3

The flash uses more battery than anything else. Try turning off the flash, you may be surprised at the results. The number two power hog is the screen, and it's worthless at the beach or in any bright sunlight. That's why I won't buy a camera that doesn't have a view finder. Still, you should get a lot more than 12 shots from a pair of lithiums. I have a pair of lithiums in a Canon Power Shot that have taken hundreds of stills and quite a bit of video (all outdoors, no flash or screen) and are still usable.

Battery exhuasted

If you have a charger, you need to recharge the battery. "Exhausted" means that the power source within the battery is depleated and must be renewed by recharging. Most modern digital cameras have Lithium-Ion batteries, which are rechargable. If your camera uses regular batteries, change them out with a fresh pair/set of batteries and this should clear your problem up.

I get a warning which says *Battery Exhausted*. I've replaced them but still get the warning.. Any idea whats wrong?

earlier i posted solution in similary problem. maybe help you this.

solution is good batteries, Ni-Mh or Lithium, rechargeable only not alkaline. but...problem is how long you watch pictures on lcd display or how much is flash in use. if always by shooting pics used flash that means that you can with best batteries 30, 20 or less pics shooted. and of course, if you connect camera with pc, how long is cam on? just transfer pics on pc and turn the camera off. the best solution is use the card reader for pics transfering.
if is flash off, it's possible to shot 120-150 pics with Ni-Mh. with lithium i don't know, maybe 500 pics. don't use camera lcd for analysing pics it's just there for short preview.
with alkaline batt., very low quality, i shot 30 pics without flash.

i shot also very good pics at night without flash. nikon coolpix L15 can do that but you must have more praxis. alkaline batteries shooting!
after 3 pictures on display is message: warning! the battery is exhausted. what you can do? turn the camera off. wait about 10 minutes. turn the camera on, you can shot 3 or 5 pictures and than turn your camera off again.
you can repeat this few times and you be lucky if you 30 pics captured:)
REMEMBER: all this goes without camera flash!!!
flash and every zooming use more battery power! and that was all magic:).
