I was recently filming a scene for a movie, and was fixing the angle of a shot on a tripod, when my camera just shut off. I attempted to turn it back on and nothing happened. I turned it off, then turned it on the vcr setting and it turns on fine. but when i try to switch it to camera mode to film, there is no response? i cant figure this out?
Is your camera in lock mode? It's easy to accidentally bump that lever when you're adjusting angles.

Ya thanks alot! I actually got so fed up i called canon and they suggested the same thing, which to my embarassment, was correct. it wasn't engaged completely because i had looked at it really quick, but upon further inspection, it was slightly moved and apparently had engaged. so thanks alot for taking the time to answer this fix!
