I'm a video editor; I have a Panasonic AG-DV2000. I'm trying to load in footage to my iMac and when I press play on my miniDV deck the nothing plays; the counter just loops around in zeroes like it's not reading anything on the tape. So, to check I played the tape in the camera it was recorded on and it played fine, but when I go back to the deck "no such luck". I thought it might have been a bad tape, so I played something that had played before and now it won't play. In need of help. Please Help
Dirty heads will produce this symptom; also an open "circuit protector" (fuse) on the main board (there are several fuses) will do this - just repaired one this morning.

Check your inputs on that machine. there are settings that you need to do. when you put a tape in the minidv, does it play fine? if it does, you need to check your input setting on that machine..good luck

I am having the same problem. I know something is on the tape but the machine is not reading the tape or the timecode. I get the looping icon and a blank white screen on the monitor.
