Question about Toshiba 20DL74 20 in. EDTV-Ready LCD Television
I want to reset the v chip on my Toshiba 20DL74 , but the 2 options given by Toshiba Support didnt work.( pressing recall on the remote 4 times in 5 seconds , or shut it off , turn it on , press vol donwn on the TV and the "0" on the remote , didn't work either. Anybody knows how to unsolder the Toshiba 20DL74 Toshiba 20DL74 V-Chip? regads G
I found this to work on my Toshiba TV/VHS combo MV19M4 after trying others suggestions that had worked on similar models but nothing worked on mine. Maybe it will work for yours. Follow these steps:
1: Unplug the TV for 1 minute then plug it back in.
2: In the menu select "TV Set Up".
3: Move the blinking block to beside "V-CHIP Set" BUT DO NOT SELECT IT.
4: Hold in the number 1 button on the remote.
5: Hold in the volume down button on the TV.
Your TV will turn off. Give it a few seconds to reset itself and then turn it back on and you will have to completely reprogram your settings. When you go to the V-CHIP settings it will ask for your new code.
