Hello.
I am trying to connect my tv box to the tv via svideo...and it does not receive signal. do you think is the cable? because at one end is Scart and at the other is svideo?

This kind of tv u must have cable or satalite tvs pay broadcasting signal cable,so u have a box .Tv have HDMI ports or RCA AV component cable input?The incomming broadcating tv signal go to the cable or satalite boxes.Than u use a HDMI cable or RCA AV component cable go through those boxes than to ur tv HDMI input ports or RCA AV component cable input holes.
My best guess is the signal to the Cable box. It is not a hardeware problem if you replaced the box it has to be the cable signal. Loose connections are sometimes the problem.
unless you got a big tv with a very good picture it isn't worth it.and a good graphics card in the comp.most tvs are fuzzy and unreadable.i've did it enough to know
Hook up the Cable box to the Amp; and the blu-ray to the amp, then connect amp to LCD.
you want to use the best available options for audio:
HDMI > Digital Optical > Digital Coax > standard RCA
And the similar for video:
HDMI > Component > SVideo > RCA cables
I would connect Blu-Ray via HDMI to Amp, and Cable box via HDMI to Amp. If your cable box does NOT support HDMI, but you have an HD package, ask your cable company for an upgraded box.
1. Video-out to TV: You should be able to connect the receiver to the TV with any / all of the available video modes.
However, if you don't have the HDMI connection, then the Video-In on the TV would have to be switched back-n-forth between Composite / S-Video, depending on how each device is connected to the receiver. [If the TV has 'auto-sensing' Video-In then it should automatically detect the incoming signal from the receiver whether S-Video or Composite or Component.]
2. Audio-Input to receiver: As the receiver provides only two Coax-Inputs, you would have to first assign Coax-1 to DVD and Coax-2 to Cable. Then connect the coax cables accordingly; that should do the trick and allow you to hear the cable sound over coax.
If you still have a problem then check the 'Input mode' setting; leaving it on Coax-1/2 (Auto) would be the better option. This is on pg. 50 of my manual "Specifying the Digital Signal Format".
You can use the yellow RCA cable using an SVideo adaptor. When using dual displays make sure that display number 2 is adtive. To do that move the mouse to display 2 press the right mouse button and select active. Check extend desktop to the monitor to check the signal and press apply. Make sure you are using either an Svideo or RCA signal.
there are 2 types of flicker, one is the lamps that drive the display and the second is the sync signal of the video. I assume the video sync is the flicker you see, I would try connecting a different way to make sure it is not the tv, connect using the aux /rca connectors to cable box. and or connect using the cable direct bypassing the cable box. I have seen several complaints about the hdmi cable signal being incorrect in some way, this is the same issue that the svideo connector had in its early adoption signal was too hot or too low. another thing to watch out for is the low light sensor on the front of tv if it gets an incorrect reading it can flicker the back light though it should be slow in doing so. some times the flicker you see is not flicker but ac running through the sides of the picture from an ungrounded cable source. how does it perform if you play a dvd player , with and without the cable box connected.
ur trying to downgrade the signal when ur running composite cords u need to either run the composite out or an hdmi out to upconvert the signal the svideo cant handle the composite
No solution, but I have the same problem with my Panasonic plamsa TH-50PE700U with a Yamaha RX-V2700 receiver. I don't think the cables are a problem. If I turn the TV on and off about 20 times the system stabilizes until I turn it off.
