My ps3 feezes for couple of seconds when I play FIFA12, then I wait, then I play normally again, but then it just freezes again

You can try to do a system recovery on your PS3. this will set your PS3 back to factory settings as the settings may have been changed during the use. Here is the process in which you can do a system recovery.'

1. Place the PS3 in standby mode
2. Press and hold the power button for a couple of seconds, you should hear a beep
3. Keep a hold of the power button for a couple more seconds, the PS3 should shut back down to standby mode
4. Once this happens, press and hold the power button again for a couple of seconds, waiting for 1 single beep.
5. Ignore this beep and keep it pressed until you hear 2 consecutive beeps, release the button.

I think you choose option 3 and then repeat and choose option 4. Once you are done with this, try out your PS3.

Make sure the console is out in the open. It needs to vent. Don't place it in a confined area. Make sure any vents on the console itself are not blocked or covered with dust. Sounds like it is overheating.

Did you try resetting your ps3?

ok here is how you do it i finally fixed my ps3 by doing some easy steps



1.have the ps3 off with the red light on and put your finger on it until it turns on and the off again

2.take off your finger and then put it on again on the power touch button until you hear two beeps

3.it will ask you to connect a usb cable from your controller to the ps3 do that

4.after that go to the second one that says restore data or memory

do those steps and your ps3 will start working in no time

Have them check the video card, That's probably why the weird colours are popping up.
