You may have to guidelines given in the operation manual step by step and try resetting, if necessary. Also check whether the system/format transmitted through cable is supported by our TV.

SOURCE: HDMI is not working

Some Hdmi signals are not working with some tvs at this time. It is a fighting battle that tv techs are dealing withe everyday. At this point the tv manufactutre will tell us what I am about to tell you. Hook up the composite and wait for a firmware upgrade to fix this. A perfect way to see this is a problem between cable box and tv and not just your tv is to plug in a dvd player with hdmi out if it works firmware will need to be developed if not your tv needs to be exchanged or a new main board.

SOURCE: No cable signal on 32" flat panel Olevia tv

When you write 'tuner,' do you mean the internal TV tuner or do you have a cable box between the wall connector and your set's input?

If you are connected from the wall to the set, then the sensitive circuitry (it may only tolerate a few volts max video) is damaged.
If your set was a couple of decades old, it might be fairly easy to repair.

If the set was damaged via the cable service, you may have some recourse unless your cable provider has seen fit to absolve themselves from liability, I suspect they have.

I do not know your set but it is not impossible that the video input circuitry for cable and antenna is on a smaller assembly that processes it before reaching the main board.
The latter has obviously survived since you still have the other functions.

SOURCE: says no signal when switched to hdmi when there is one.

Have the same problem with a 532H - but here is what I did to resolve the issue:
1) Click your Menu button on the TV remote.
2) Go to Screen (click the right button)
3) Go to Main Picture Source (click the right button)
4) Select HDMI (click the Menu button when done)

SOURCE: my olevia tv is not sensing the hdmi input right away.

HDMI has to be able to communicate with each other. In most cases the HDMI issue is with the device connected to the TV and not the TV itself. If you did firmware upgraded on the TV then the issue is with the laptop. Try the laptop on anther brand of TV and see what happens.

Olevia HD tv with no signal. Tried troubleshooting with cable provider, no results. Help!

If this is a problem you had while continuously using the same cable TV and provider, check whether the TV works well with any other input device. Look for any loose contacts in RC Jack, cable and connectors.

My Olevia Model 427-S11 shows "no signal"

Silly suggestion, but did you hit the "Source" button again a few times?

According to the manual, the "Source" button changes between the following long list of options:
Tuner, Composite, S-Video, Component, HDMI, VGA, and VGA component.
So you'll have to hit it 6 more times to come back to what you were using.

Olevia went out of business in 2008, so their website is defunct. Here is a link to what I believe is your manual on another website.

Hdtv qam tuner

More often than not the problem is with the Cable co. They ALWAYS blame the tv. I have had many many problems with the signal quality coming from that co. Here is the most likley cause. The cable signal is probably very Weak. This can be caused by a weak signal coming from the cabls co. or a bad cable inside your home. The age of the cable can effect the signal quality.Note: The cable co is only required to provide a Digital signal. Some companies allow free HD signals and some charge for that signal. The correct approach to this issue is to get with the Cox and ask the if they provide free Hd channels without a box. If they say no then you will have to get a HD cable box to watch HD programs. Themn if they say yes then you need to ask them to send out a tech and test the signal coming from the Head End all the way to your set. If the signal flucuates then you will get inconsistant scanning results.

No tv signal on my olevia 232-s12

cable or Ant.. ? after the scan if there is no channels found (0 digital, 0 analog) then try with cable or Ant to see if any of them work.. if they still don't pick up any channels and the whole yellow progress line goes across.. then it sounds like the tuner on the tv is bad.. and the tuner is part of the main-board so the whole main-board will have to be exchange or repair.. contact Amergence technology they are a 3rd party repair center that service Olevia TV's and they will be able to give you an idea on the repair cost..

I have an Olevia 23t lct hd tv. I am plugged in

you said you are using composite cables..? that means you have some kind of cable box ? if you want to get HD channels you have to use a HD box that is supplied by the cable company.. the HD cable box then has to connect to the tv with component cables (green, blue, red cables) or HDMI cable.. to send the HD signal to the television.

A/V Signal Outout through Onkyo TX-SR705

Are you trying to record cable programming with your DVD recorder? If so, you might want to try using component cable as HDMI does have a copy protection circuit that might be preventing your recorder from receiving the image. Just try to connect the cable box component (RED/GREEN/BLUE) cable to your DVD recorder. If that doesn't work, then try to change everything over to component cables. HDMI is a great cable to use but it the only required to display 1080p images and the only current source that uses 1080p is a bluray player. Everything else, such as your cable box and DVD recorder is 1080i and component cables are perfect for it.
