You need to check the volts at the motor while it's running, to make sure some safety is not shutting it off. Then check the amps on the motor while it's running. Also you need to check your capacitor and wiring.
Light bulbIf your
microwave light bulb is not working, perhaps it has blown. The first
step is to replace the bulb and power on the microwave. If this does not
correct the issue, the next step is to check the socket and wiring to
verify if that is the problem.
Light bulb socket & main control boardIf
your microwave light bulb is not working after the installation of a
new bulb, check the light socket as well as the wiring to ensure they
are properly operating. If these sources are functioning properly, the
next step is to check for a faulty control board as a possible root
cause to your microwave light bulb malfunction.
Exhaust fan motorIf
your exhaust fan motor is not running, there are a couple of things that
you can check involving the motor to locate the problem. After removing
the fan motor, you can manually attempt to turn the fan blades with
your hand. If the fan motor is working properly, the blades should spin
effortlessly. If this does not occur and the blades are taught, the
motor will need to be replaced. Secondly, the fan motor itself can burn
out due to time and usage. Using an ohm meter, the exhaust fan motor
should read open for continuity. If it does not, then the fan motor has
expired and will need to be replaced.
that could cause the microwave exhaust fan to not work is a faulty
thermostat. A thermostat gauges the air temperature, which activates the
exhaust fan when required. If this part becomes flawed, the exhaust fan
will not energize and the thermostat will need to be replaced.
Main control boardIf
your exhaust fan is still not working and the microwave fan motor,
wiring, and thermostat are operating accurately, the root cause could be
with the main control board. Replace the main control board.
I have a similar problem. JVC Project (DLA-RS1) shuts off after about 30 min to 1 hour of use. Everything turns off - bulb, fan, even the little light on the projector near the buttons. After 10-15 min the red light comes back on and you can start the projector.
I have seen this happen when I had installed a knock-off bulb. I believe the bulb runs a little hotter and the projector over heats. Now I am seeing it happen even with a JVC bulb.
I am in the process of taking the cover off the projector to see if anything is blocking the air flow (like a piece of broken bulb, which did break a while back). If a problem doesn't show up there I am going to check the fan to see if it is turning at full speed (maybe replace with a beefier fan?).
Please check outdoor unit. Compressor or fan motor getting high amps due to overheat. Clean condenser coil. If still problem, replace running capacitor. If out door fan less rpm replace fan capacitor. In some unit 2 in 1 capacitor is there. So replace one capacitor will rectify fan and compressor problem. Thanks. Helpful?
Capacitor, dirty condencer coil causing the motor amps to run too high. But most likely worn bearing on blade side of motor causing it to pull to one side causing it to over heat and shut down. Sleve bearings should have no side play.
Check the manual if you have it or on line. The symptom you are describing may be a built in warning that your bulb has reache 2700 hours. I think there is a reset process and then at 3000 it goes out.
Spent today reading the manual because I have one and the red lamp light is blinking. I called Panasonic and found out the only place that services these units is in Leawood Kansas USA> The place is called Heartland Services.
