Question about Sony Ericsson P900
Joggle button in my sonyericsson P910i is not working.when i move joggle it doesn't operate but on pressing the button it works. can any1 help me regarding this matter...
Hello Jigu, I have seen this problem on some P900 and P910 phones and most of them suffered from the same defect. You see, the joggle button is composed of 2 parts. One is the rotative swich that can be used in up, down back and forth and the other part is a normal button on the mainboard that will be pressed when you press inside the entire joggle button. The first one, the rotative swich is connected to the main board by a small connector. The other one, that button is mounted directly on the mainboard without any wires. The first one's connector is most likely to be your problem. It isn't attached firmly and doesn't make a proper electric contact. You should have that connector checked at a service center. This isn't an expensive repair. The service center is the safest and easiest way but if you like I could give you the instructions to dissasemble the phone yourself. In this case, leave a reply here and I will guide you in how to do that. You will need a small "+" shaped screwdriver for the 4 back screws (2 are covered with some small plastic pieces - the upper part) and the 2 small screws that keep the keyboard flip attached to the main body of the phone. This screws aren't vissible because a plastic cover is located on them ( i believe the one on wich is written "quick share" if i remember right). Like I've said if you want to try to fix it yourself please post back or contact me on the live chat. Good luck.
