I forgot my password on my acer tablet and tried to do a factory reset but it didnt work what should i do????

    I'm trying to reset my son's audiosonic tablet I have tried to do the factory reset by using the volume an power button but it's not working

    my daughter has forgot her password and has tried to get in to many times...she's locked up tablet. the tablet doesn't have a volume button...every thing I find say to hold down volume and power button but no volume button

    Somewhere on outer edge of device there should be a pin hole. Use pin to press and hold down while on and it should reset as this is the manual reset button which is also a feature on many Cable/Sat. Boxes.

Acer A510 Tablet, Forgot Password - This is from a Acer Tech and it works for this Model, good chance its the same for most Acer Tablets.

I cannot remember my password to get into my tablet

i think you will have to do a hard reset to sort this out.
Just tap the Power button to select Reboot System Now.
  1. Make sure tablet is powered off.
  2. Hold down Volume + button and Power button at same time.
  3. When screen comes on let go of Power button.
  4. When the large Android shows on screen let go of Volume + button.
  5. Use Volume - button to scroll to Wipe Data/ Factory Reset.
