Angelo, do you have the installation CD-ROM that came with the keyboard and mouse? If so, it should work just find with your Sony Vaio VGC-V517G all-in-one computer. Let me know if you have any issues.
Could be that you just need to clean it. Use a air spraying tool to clean out the keyboard. You could also try taking these keys off the keyboard, clean it, and then put the keys back in.
Shouldn't be that hard to do.
I wouldn't take it in to get it fixed though as you can pay for a new keyboard for less.
Could be that the connector from the keyboard to the mainboard is crooked. Try taking the keyboard off and wiggling the connector from the keyboard to the board so that it is a snugger fit.
