SOURCE: universal remote control code for RJ-3700

I heard that no universal remotes have codes for RJ-TECH products. Also each remote has separate codes for each brand was told by another person, My remote broke as well and I found that a lot of remotes around the house had certain buttons that did different features on my dvd player. So if you have a remote which can record the infared codes for each button (Macro codes or something) that would work but I am not sure if there is a way to get the exact buttons on a universal remote to work on the dvd player. The second option is buy a universal remote from RJ-TECH if they sell them. I am just about to check for myself now, if they dont have 1 I'm buying a new DVD player cause its usesless if I cant control all the features without a remote.

SOURCE: Tray won't open

Being new to this, the other Fix was more of a rough draft. Here is a better improved solution.
I hate to say this all sounds too familiar. I also fought with exactly the same troubles. I was able to force the tray open using the open button and pulling with my finger nails or other slim object under the the front and center of the tray. It made a funny (sic) unusual rattling noise when sliding, like a belt had broke or something else. The player was a gift to me for christmas '08 so with that and my handyman curiosity & capabilities I had to try and fix it. Once I got the top off (details not here) I found that an axel with its wheel were coming apart (broken). I Superglued the wheel but that only lasted a couple days. The wheel helps guide a belt that drives the tray forward & backward. I figure its faulty hardware & manufacturing that should be handled as such. Good Luck to anyone whom this may help. My heart goes out to you. Tom.

I have dish network and i want to put my dvd RJ Tech at my remote control but i can't to find the code for this dvd can you help me with this ? My dvd is a RJTech RJ800dvx thks

It would be our pleasure in helping you with this. We currently do not have any codes your RJ Tech DVD player; we would recommend performing a power scan. A power scan determines if there is a code that will operate your RJ Tech DVD player.

Power scan instructions:

Step 1:
Press and hold the DVD/VCR mode button until all mode button back lights illuminate, then release.

Step 2:
Press and release the Power button.

Step 3:
Press the Up button once a second while pointing the remote at the desiredequipment. If the code for the equipment comes up, the equipment will poweroff.

Step 4:
Press the pound (#) button. If the code entered is valid for the remote, themode light flashes three times.

After doing the power scan please remember to put the remote back into SATmode. Thanks so much for being a valued DISH Network customer!

The DVD loader will not open. The DVD player has never been used.

Hello,

There seem to be a prolem with the mechanism that opens and closes the player.

Probably the player hit something really hard.

To fix this, all you have to do is to get the appropriate screwdriver, unscrew the cover of the player, take a close look at the mechanism that controls the disc tray and you will discover the fault.

Adjust the rubber and sit the tray properly, if you see any damage on the mechanism, all you have to do is change the mechanism.

Try to open it before you cover it back.

Take care

Other Region codes for Samsung DVD 1080PK

Region code hack posted by anindo_roy, January 09 2009:
I bought a Samsung DVD player 1080PK in Bangalore recently (Jan 2009) and initially it was coded only for region 5 (India). I went through the following steps (which were told to me by a Samsung technician) to make it region free. This steps match closely to the one posed by another viewer so I have retained the same format.
1) Turn on the player with no disc in the tray
2) Press the Open/Close button to open the tray
3) Press the info button, the firmware version shows up
4) After the version info disappears, close the tray again by pressing the Open/Close button
5) At this point, it will show "no disc" at the top. Press the Info button again, and this will disappear.
6) Locate the Repeat A-B button on the remote, which in my case was ‘9’
6) Now type the code that applies for your region (R5 (India) is 53814) followed by 9 (Repeat A-B button) and then press the Enter button. So enter 538149 and then Enter. A last few digits ‘4’ and '9' may briefly show up at the top left corner.
8) Power off the player, and turn it on again. You'll have a multi region player
Region Code for the 1080PK hack:
R1 - 29334
R2 - 57538
R3 - 56732
R4 - 76884
R5 - 53814
R6 - 24462
This worked for me after a couple of tries.

Tray is not opening

To open the tray this is not a perfect fix, but it will allow to use it. After the unit is powered on: 1)Hit the "Open/Close" button 2)Wait a while (you will get the timing down with practice) 3)Tap gently, yet briskly with fingertips at area in the attached pic, that the red arrow points to I think the problem is that the tray becomes unbalanced somehow. Because when a DVD is in, the drive opens fine, only when there is no disc do you have to tap on the unit.
