With the new change in daylight savings, how can i turn "DST" off so that it wont change on its own.
If DST is *already* set to "on" when you reset the time zone to Z-07 (Hawaii), my very recent experience is that the time *still gets adjusted back* by one hour. Now that daylight savings time is over (at least according to the clock's pre-programmed and outdated schedule) I'm hoping that setting the time zone to Z-07 (Hawaii) will completely cancel the automatic time changes from now on. Otherwise, I need to purchase another clock, and it won't be a Timex.
One of the T311 time zones (Z-07) is Hawaiian Standard Time. As far as I know, Hawaii does not observe daylight savings time. It would seem that you could set this zone and the reset the time manually. One unknown is what happens if the DST indicator is on (as it likely is in the summer); one would hope that Timex simply defined DST=Standard Time for this zone, but I haven't experimented enough to verify this. Good luck.
Unfortunately, you cannot turn it off. You'll have to manually set it forward or backward to make up for its settings. This means having to adjust the time four times a year. Twice in the spring (once to counter the old DST settings and the other to accomodate the new DST) and twice in the fall. This is what the manual has to say about DST: Daylight-Saving Time and Leap Year Adjustments This unit will automatically adjust the clock at the beginning and end of Daylight-Saving Time each year. It will also adjust the month/day display for leap year automatically. This unit automatically advances one hour at the start of Daylight-Saving Time on the first Sunday of April, and moves back one hour at the end of Daylight-Saving Time on the last Sunday of October. If you live in an area that does not observe Daylight-Saving Time, it will be necessary for you to manually adjust the clock back one hour at the beginning of Daylight-Saving Time and forward one hour at the end of Daylight-Saving Time.

Now that daylight saving time moved from 1st Sunday of April to the 1st Sunday of March how can I make it adjust to the new schedule?
