I have opened up my laptop and there is a cable that run from underneath the power button to the mother board it is slightly frayed which may be causing the problem but what is that name of that cable? where could i get one from?
The cable (Wire) stays attached to the Power Button Board,

No, I'm wrong? The Flat Flex Cable (FFC) does come out of a ZIF connector on the Power Button Board?
You may wind up buying the Power Button Board, and Flat Flex Cable, then.
Or you may find a 'Mom and Pop' computer store, that can repair the cable.

try removing the battery and power adapter for a few minutes then plug in just the power adapter and boot up. then shut all down and put in battery and adapter and see if that helps.

You could buy a new universal power adapter and when you are running it off the mains remove the battery as it will continually charge and burn out.
