It depends on the MP3 player- for instance the Ipod family uses an USB connection and the software ITunes, where other variants can use either a direct drag and drop (nomad, sandisk, android phones) in windows explorer. Others require you to use a proprietary software (Sony Minidisc) Some MP3 players use micro SD to carry music- as well as phones. At that, you can use an SD adapter and put it in a media reader to directly add your music via windows explorer
You may have reached the maximum number of files allowed in the root directory of the file system. If you already have a folder on the card, try moving some of the MP3 files into that folder. If you can copy 1 new MP3 file onto the card, that is your problem. Hopefully your MP3 player supports folders!
I believe you can fix it by going on the player, then to settings, then to USB mode, and switching it from MTP to MSC. If you're in MSC already and it fails to recognize, then I don't know. :(
If you want to play mp3 songs from sd card then create mp3 folder and place all the songs in side that folder. Now when you go to Juke box menu it will scan all the songs and you will be able to play them the way you want..
If your device is too full, it wont have enough room to create the music database for the new songs.
Move some of your music off of the device onto the memory card.
Try to keep about 10MB free for each GB of music you have.
