It Wont Turn On/Off!!!

My mp3 player that i hd bought will not turn on/off it seems the menu(on/off) button is stuck or something. Please help its fairly new only had it a couple months. I anyone has a solution please contact me ASAP.

    i have tried to turn it on by pushing the button for about 10 seconds but it still doesn't turn on. I opened the devices and I noticed some kind of rust build up at the internal battery (not the AAA battery). what do you think is wrong?

You need to push the on/off button and wait for about 5 seconds (try 10 just to be sure it really doesn't work). Let me know if it's still not working.

Try resetting it. Hold down the middle and menu buttons at the same time and it should reset itself. Then it should go to the main menu. Good Luck!

On the back of the player is a small reset hole, use something non-metallic to press in there. Something like a toothpick will work great.

This will reset the device. If the problem persists after doing this you will need to contact RCA.

Hi,

Try the following steps:

Resetting the device:
1. Press and hold the Power/Menu button for approximately 20 seconds.
2. Release the Power/Menu button.
3. Press the Power/Menu button again to turn on the player.

NOTE: Resetting will turn the player off while it is frozen.

If that doesn't work, then you may download and install the Sansa Firmware Updater and update to the latest firmware.

Ok i bought a coby mp4 player and it just wont turn on for someapperent reasonand its a mp605-4g
Sometimes the factory accidently catched the hold button , try to turn this off first and then fully charge the unit or while attached to the computer scroll throught the menu to see what your settings are. In the end you may have to return it as there may be something wrong with it. Hope this helps.

Since I was unable to turn my Mp3 player off, it eventually ran out of battery!

Turns on but wont bring menu up
Try flashing the firmware first, if it won't communicate with the pc, try another pc. If it is still stuck you may need to replace the HD. I had the same problem after replacing the HD I was able to flash the firmware and get working.

Mpio HD-400 is stuck on loading screen windows doesnt recognize it
alotita, I have an MPIO HD-200. Does Windows play the sound like you have something attached when you plug it in? Or does Windows not regognize it al all? Either way, I've had to play with mine after I've dropped it a couple of times. I charge the battery all the way, then just keep plugging and unplugging from the USB wire. The last time, it took 20+ times before Windows would recognize it.
