Mitsubishi VS-50703 Our power went off and came back on very quickly the other night. Now the TV is just showing a blue screen. We are only able to get Antenna A and B. We used to have inputs 1-3 and DVD. I have tried going to menu and setting up channels again. I have tried unplugging and plugging in again. Nothing, just a blue sceen and I am able to use the menu. No sound either. thanks

Had a similar problem, but had sound and could view the picture in Setup mode. Followed the second set of instructions and the set is now functional.

My Mitsubishi VS 50703 is fed from a DVR into input Ant A. I get sound, but no picture, until I press the 'menu' button on the TV remote; then the picture appears in the PIP window for a few...

Try resoldering the vertica IC. Very common problem. When vertical drops out the CRTs go into blanking ( shutdown no picture) but the menu and on screen displays will still work. Resoldering the IC will usually solve the issue.

Green "halo" around the bright white images

I have a Samsung HCM5535W rear projection TV that had pretty much the exact same problem-- a green halo around bright white images. I researched it on the net, and determined the most likely problem was with the convergence STK-ICs, or the convergence board. I bought a replacement board with the STK ICs and installed it, but no luck, the problem persisted. I decided to mess with the manual focus adjustment on the green crt (i was seeing a green halo), and that fixed it. As it turns out, no replacement parts were necessary to fix the problem in the first place. Hope this helps somebody out there.
